Worship with Us!

Join us in person on Sundays at 10:45am.

Throughout the year, our Worship Sunday is available in person and online via Facebook, and our Wednesday night Prayer Meeting is in-person only. During the month of August, we will only be holding an in person service on Sundays at 10:45am; live streaming on Sundays and Prayer Meeting on Wednesdays will resume in September.

Worship Service

On Sundays we hold our weekly Worship Service at 10:45am. Our style is blended worship, meaning that we incorporate both contemporary and traditional elements in our service. There is no dress code; some people are more formal and prefer to wear their “Sunday best,” while others wear more casual clothing.

All children worship alongside the congregation for part of the service and then participate in Children’s Chat, a Bible-based object lesson in front of the congregation. Following Children’s Chat, children in Pre-K through the eighth grade go to Sunday School. PreK - 4th grade meet with teachers in a large all-purpose room, and continue to explore the Bible lesson through crafts and games, while 5th - 8th graders explore personal and researched questions of faith that children of this age think about, as 2 adults facilitate the discussion, for the remainder of the service. All volunteers in our children’s ministry have been CORI’d. On Saturdays, an activity sheet that goes along with Children’s Chat is posted on our Facebook page for those attending online.

Communion

We observe “Open Communion.”  All who know and profess Christ as their personal Lord and Savior are invited to participate in the Lord’s Supper with us. We ask that those who have not yet professed faith in Christ abstain from participating, and we welcome you to have a conversation with us about professing faith.

Prayer Meeting

On Wednesdays we hold our weekly Prayer Meeting at 7:30pm. We begin with a short devotional, sing a song or hymn, and go into a time of guided and open prayer for our church, communities, and world. You will not be asked to pray out loud, but those who feel like praying out loud are welcome to do so.

Parking

There is street parking available on Essex and surrounding streets, and the Marleah Graves School (known as “the MEG”) parking lot is available to us next door. Additional parking can be found at Kowalsky Insurance, 544 Lincoln Ave. We reserved the spots in front of the church for those with handicap.

Accessibility

We have chair lifts to help you navigate the stairs at the church.
